Dear all

I am more than happy to invite you to the 10th Estonian National Session of EYP, taking place from 20th to 23rd March 2010 in Tallinn and Viimsi. The session is organised under the slogan 'Be Young! Think European.' and has the honour of having the patronage or Mr Siim Kallas, the Vice President of the European Commission. 

It is an honour for me to announce that the call for Estonian Chairpersons for the most amazing of national sessions is finally open. 

To apply please send the following to the e-mail address helga.kalm@ten.ee before 23:59 on 25th February:

• letter of motivation (1 A4)
• list of previously attended sessions and positions held
• A brief overview of EU related topics that interest you the most (e.g. foreign affaires, energy, agriculture etc)
• an analyses of pros and cons of yourself as a facilitator 
• something that is very „you“: a youtube clip, an article, an online game… you name it! 

The selection criteria set by the board of Tegusad Eesti Noored includes:
• Knowledge and skills
o Previous experience as a chairperson
o participation in facilitation trainings
• Motivation
o letter of motivation

In addition to the aforementioned criteria it is also generally expected that you have taken part in international sessions. Contribution and commitment to the development of EYP and TEN is also highly valued. Based on the criteria mentioned here we try to form a team that would include people of different levels of experience, different age and interest groups, and a balance of males and females.

The selection of chairpersons will be made by the president of the session (Helga Kalm), the head organiser of the session (Mari-Liis Orav) and a member of board of TEN. All applicants will be informed of the outcome by 27th February.

The session takes place in Tallinn from March 20th to March 23rd. However, chairpersons as well as other officials should be present on 19th March.

There will not be a separate call for international chairpersons – they will be invited to the session individually.

Finally, I would like to encourage you all to apply. Nationals in Estonia have always been very well facilitated and have shown high quality in discussions during GA. But I am convinced that among you there are plenty of those that can raise the high level even higher. The most important thing, though, is that you should not be scared to apply. The session loves and needs you, and so do I.
